Amanda's love of all things music started as a small child, she came to dance as an adult, but hasn't let that stop her from doing everything she's ever dreamed of and more. Amanda's professional development includes the Salimpour School of Dance and the Salimpour Institute where she is currently certified Foundations 1 & 2 and is working on her Intermediate 1 & 2 certifications. She has danced on stages across the world, but loves coming home and working with dancers to bring out their best.
Welcome to APB Dance!
Dance is not a competition, it’s a passion and it’s yours.
Dance is about more than just knowing the moves, it comes from an understanding of the music and a love for the culture. In our classes, you are not only learning technique, but also the other elements that allow you to truly hear and feel the music. Check out a class today to see why we are different and how we can help you to find yourself in dance.
What our students say
Have to say that I look forward to my Thursday classes. Life is so uncertain, stressful and, at times, lonely. Even though I have to share class time with my fur babies, the class gets me through to the next day so I can make it to the weekend.
With sincere gratitude and love to all. Big thank you to Amanda and everyone in the class for your Zoom companionship.
Amanda is a quality teacher, choreographer and dancer. Enthusiastic and welcoming.
An amazing teacher and one I have been so lucky to see perform and grow as a dancer and teacher.
Amanda has a lovely manner as a teacher.
I admire Amanda’s passion for belly dancing. she is a truly inspiring teacher.
Amanda’s classes are well structured and paced with options available in each class to choose from based on your level of experience, or how your body is feeling at the time.
Amanda has an uncanny knack for breaking down the mechanics of steps or movements making them accessible, achievable and challenging all at the same time and her love for this dance form means there is always laughter and fun while you learn to ‘struggle properly’. I thoroughly recommend checking out any of her upcoming classes or workshops.
