New year, new goals
I always enjoy the change of year, not just because of the fireworks, but because it’s a time to celebrate. I like to finish the year with a celebration of who I was in the year that is departing and start the year with the intention of who I’d like to be celebrating at the end of the year coming.
2018 saw a lot of change for me. I started teaching weekly classes, I learnt how to cope with the loss of a parent and I pushed myself to new limits in my depth of dance knowledge and technique.
In 2019, I am looking forward to pushing myself even more.
Weekly classes will be joined by workshops scattered throughout the year (sign up to the newsletter if you want all the details before everyone else), the Melbourne Salimpour Collective will be performing at Flow: Episode 1 on Jan 12, I will be dancing with a live band in Sydney for the Bellydance Evolution After Party and my teacher Suhaila Salimpour will be coming out to teach her Suhaila Level 1 workshops in March. Plus I have a few training courses and conferences marked in my calendar to go to and the Far East Belly Dance Collective have a few events in the works too!
I hope you can join me on this adventure in 2019 by either attending something I am at or by reading about my adventures. I would love to hear about your goals for 2019 on my Facebook page or Instagram.
See you in 2019!
