Join Amanda as she presents her 400 level choreography recital – the first of 2, that she must present to test into the 400 level of the Salimpour School of Bellydance.
Amanda has been a member of the Salimpour School for the past seven years. This recital forms the examination part of the performance-level certification course that Amanda participated in between August and November 2024.
For this part of her course, she will dance the requisite choreographies in one amazing nonstop belly dance show that will demonstrate her capabilities across several areas.
Before 2020, these recitals were always performed in Albany, California. Now, they are produced by the dancers in their hometown, allowing their friends and families to participate in this amazing performance event. Amanda is excited to share this moment in her dance training with you.

Salimpour School students have the opportunity to progress by completing testing for each level: Fundamentals, Foundations, Intermediate, Performance, and Teaching. Each level builds on the previous level, providing specialised training within a logical, cumulative sequence.
Over the full course of study, dancers train in dance technique, finger cymbals, rhythm identification, history, music, culture, improvisation, performance, choreography, teaching skills, and much more. By the time dancers reach the Performance level, they are required to produce 2 recitals, the first being the Choreography Recital (this show).
Each dancer must perform the requisite choreographies, in one non-stop show, demonstrating a combination of choreographies used to test into previous levels as well as ones set specifically for this level of achievement.
