The Melbourne team is returning for the 6th year of dancing the Shimmy Mob dance. As with previous years, this performance isn’t about raising money for our group, but for raising funds for our chosen domestic violence service who help those who have experienced a familial violence situation get the help they need.
For 2024, the Melbourne team are proudly raising funds for Safe Steps. We welcome all donations directly to Safe Steps via our fundraising page, plus welcome you all to join us at the Bowes Ave Community Hall in Airport West on Saturday May 11th between 1-3pm for dancing, performances and fun!
We are aiming to raise $1000 for Safe Steps. That $1000 could help:
- support 13 women and their children (or other family) plan how to leave a violent relationship;
- or 10 families ensure their pets are cared for while they are in temporary housing;
- or 8 families have safe and appropriate emergency housing.
