Focus on Finger Cymbals Workshop
Finger cymbals, zill, sagat. Many names for the small metal discs we wear on our fingers and snap together while we dance.
We will be looking at different patterns that you can play while you dance, as well as putting together a little acapella finger cymbal dance! (That means we won’t have any other music other than our finger cymbals!)
Sound like an adventure? It’ll be the best sort of fun.
Suitable for all ages, sizes and dispositions.
Previous belly dance knowledge, while useful, is not required.
BYO Finger cymbals and I recommend earplugs.
I will have a few pairs of cymbals that can be borrowed and can point you towards good quality places to purchase both earplugs and cymbals some if you don’t have any. Just send me a message!
When: Saturday, November 16, 9 am – 11 am.
Cost: $30 pre-purchased through this page, $35 on the day (cash, credit card or EFTPOS available).
About your instructor:
When not out and about, Amanda is in her own studio space dancing up a storm.
Amanda is a current student of the Salimpour School of Belly Dance, USA. She holds certifications for Suhaila Salimpour Belly Dance Format Level 2 and Jamila Salimpour Belly Dance Format Level 2 and is working on her Level 3 certifications in both formats.
Amanda loves making a racket using her finger cymbals. It’s a good thing she has very accommodating neighbours!
