- $10 general admission 18+
- $20 general admission families (one/two adults + unlimited under 18s)
Location: Bowes Ave Community Hall, 27-31 Bowes Ave, Airport West
Shimmy Mob is a global belly dance flash mob, which aims to raise both awareness of what constitutes domestic violence as well as fundraising for a local domestic violence support service.
All show proceedings from the Melbourne event go directly to Safe Steps Family Violence Resource Centre as a part of our Shimmy Mob fundraiser.
We plan to raise $1000 for Safe Steps. That $1000 could help 13 women plan to leave a violent relationship; or could help 10 families ensure their pets are cared for while they are in temporary housing; or 8 families have safe and appropriate emergency housing.
This family-friendly event will present past and present Shimmy Mob’ers from the Melbourne team and two very special performances by the 2024 Melbourne Shimmy Mob team!
A small refreshment table will be running with all proceeds from the table being donated to Safe Steps.
